Hi friends,
Our studio time is definitely getting pretty intense. We’ve got pretty good mixes of “Crom”, “Rust”, “Homunculus”, and “She Did Not Know”. That’s pretty good given our deadline. We’re either just gonna make it or just miss it. Here is the deal. If we finish by November 2nd, we should get it back in time for the December show but if we miss it, there will be no point in releasing in January. Take a look at Magazines, Blogs, and Newspapers in January and you’ll see everyone is focused with Year-end wrap-ups. So releasing an album in January is a pretty dumb. So, If we don’t finish it by next week, you won’t see Bag Of Hammers until February of 2012. We’ll keep you all posted.
In studio news here is a case of printer vs humans….
Yes, the Printer won.
Now, you may be asking why we are trying to network an old printer to Clinton’s Mac? Well, we brought in a special guest to do the introduction to “Crom” and we were trying to print out some verses for her to read. She actually rocked it out and so we’re definitely opening the record with that song. The cool thing is since we had her in the studio, we asked her to give a shot at the vocals on “Rust” and it was amazing. So when you hear the final mix, she will be singing. Who is this special guest? Well, we’re gonna play coy and hold off on telling you until we actually release the album but here is a low-res image of her reading lines for “Crom” with her face partially obscured to give you a hint.
