The Vegetable Man Project (Oggetti Volanti Non Identificati, CD, Italy, 2002)
This was a pretty fun and crazy hair-brained scheme from Kryptasthesie’s Dario Antonetti. Basically, everyone did their take on Syd Barrett’s “Vegetable Man.” Some were folky, others noisy and one guy even sang in the shower.
Our take was to treat it somewhat agressively and have it act as a lead-in to a long stoned out jam. This one was a lot of fun.
Dario later went to do more comps based on the same song which are a lot of fun too.
