Official release date is finally set!!! Also the first album review and studio stuff

August 28th!!!

We just wanted to let everyone know that Homeskool finally announced August 28, 2012 as the official release date for Bag of Hammers and while it is a little later than we’d hoped,  I’m just glad to finally see an official date. They have their reasons and we gotta respect the fact that they are juggling our release B L A C K I E‘s and Female Demand‘s at the same time.  So, it is what it is, ya know.  If you can’t wait two months, then just give us a holler and we’ll see what we can work out as we do have the CD edition in our hands.

Also, we’re pretty excited.  As you can see from the picture above, Digital Warehouse’s facilities have expanded. Steve just broke down the wall of his studio and it’s unbelievable how much space there is now!

Also, we got our first album review over at Space City Rock. Jeremy Hart writes,

“a monolithic, fuzz-drenched, utterly badass chunk of headbanging stoner-psych-rock all about Cimmerian gods, post-Apocalyptic wastelands, playing D&D, and (of course) somebody else smoking all your pot…. With Bag of Hammers, though, they’ve toned down the more overtly wacky stuff, instead burying those quirky lyrics beneath layer upon layer of heavy, sludgy, metallic rawk, the kind that makes you want to grow your hair long like you did when you were (okay, when I was) a kid…. this album feels like the band finally trying to burn their own special constellation into the vast, unknowable psych-rock cosmos.”
