Hi folks. It’s Spring Break weekend here in Texas which means SXSW. As we mentioned before, we tossed the idea of going and playing some day shows but ultimately decided to stay-in this year because April, May, and June are going to be very Very VERY busy months for the LP4 and we are busy focusing on that because we’re going to need all the time we can get. We already have four shows lined up with firm dates and more in the works. While we mentioned our April show, we’re gonna keep the rest under our hats as we don’t want to let the cat out of the bag just yet because we have some surprises in store for all of you.
So while you guys are up in Austin partying away having a great time with all those great bands, I will be dutifully shuttered away and working with Adobe Premiere on an LP4 Project (the image on the right is all you get at this time). Meanwhile, Shelby Hohl sent us the final version of the CD art (LP art version coming soon) last week and it looks amazing so that means Clinton will be busy putting together the final touches on the package to send for the CD manufacturers. Yes, we will likely have CD copies in our hands months before the release date and the LP editions won’t be far behind. Honestly, it’s going to be odd having so much lead time before an album release but, with all the stuff swirling around the release itself, we’re going to need it.
Anyhow, we send much love and appreciation to Something Fierce and Fat Tony (who last I checked were the only two hometown folks to be playing official showcases) and also everyone else in Houston who is going up to play one of the many unofficial day shows, parties, and house events. Y’all have fun, we’ll see you guys there in 2013.
