Whoah, here is a picture that Steve took of the DAT masters of our first album. Check out the date!!! Jeez we’re getting on to almost 20 years of making music now!!!
Why dig this rare artifact out of Larry Liska’s secret underground facility under the Yucca mountains? Well, not sure if we mentioned it, but Homeskool will be releasing an LP4 “best of” in the next few months – a one, two, possibly three CD set. We’re pretty tickled that the song selection is being curated by our good friend Bubba Hightower and can’t wait to see this stuff make it back into the world in some form (many of these have been out of print for a while). So Steve dutifully transferred the old DAT masters onto Pro Tools and he will be re-mastering these tracks for the compilation0. We’re pretty excited to hear this album – which was recorded on a cassette 6-track at KTRU – mastered properly and we hope some of you out there are too. We’ll keep you guys up to date on a release date for this when we get more info.
As for the BIG BAG OF HAMMERS NEWS… YES, we are done with mixing and it looks like we are moving on to the final stage in this endeavor – mastering Bag of Hammers!!!! Not much else to say here but just a big YEAHYUSSSS!!!!! We’re pretty excited are already starting to plan some record release shows.
