Meanwhile, last night….
Yes, that’s a panorama of us recording the theme to “Assault from the Vault of the Ancient Bonglords.” This is one of those jokes that kind of takes a life of its own and, before you know it, you’ve just spent an entire Tuesday session recording a two-minute jingle for your anthology and discussing the details on making a promo video to go along with it.
Here are the lyrics that Charlie and I wrote up on a pizza box with a sharpie.

The letter was too long so we’ll probably forget it.
A few things… OK a lot of things here won’t make sense until you read the module but trust us, this will all make sense… eventually. Anyhow, since this was for a short promo, we recorded a version with a shorter intro and then took out the bracketed, italicised lyrics and combined the second and third verses to get it down to about two minutes. Don’t fret because even at 2 minutes it’s pretty ridiculous and if you need any further proof then look no further than Caveman Heider finishing off the last of the Spaten mini-keg before going on a rampage in a nearby village.
